International Nurses’ Day 2026 on 13 May 2026

The Trained Nurses’ Association of India celebrated International Nurses’ Day 2026 on 13 May 2026 at its headquarters in New Delhi under the theme “Our Nurses. Our Future. Empowered Nurses Save Lives.”

On this occasion, the association felicitated the recipients of the National Florence Nightingale Awards 2026, which were conferred by Hon’ble Mrs. Droupadi Murmu, President of India, on 12 May 2026. The awards recognise outstanding nursing professionals for their exceptional contribution to healthcare services in the country.

The programme was attended by distinguished dignitaries, nursing leaders, and members of the profession. Dr. (Mrs.) Annie Kumar, National President, TNAI, presided over the event, while Dr. T. Deelip Kumar, President, Indian Nursing Council, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest.

During the celebration, the awardees were felicitated by the National President and National Vice Presidents. The event also included a tribute to Florence Nightingale, addresses by nursing leaders, and a reaffirmation of the crucial role played by nurses in healthcare delivery and nation-building.
